LATEST NEWS
As the 2016/17 academic year comes to a close we would like to thank all pupils, schools and teachers for contributing to another great year of school sport in North West Leicestershire. This year the North West Leicestershire School Sports Partnership organised and delivered 114 competitions, events and festivals.
The year saw record attendance at events for both schools and children with 7,167 children and 1,009 teams attending NWLSSP level 2 events. On the calendar this year there were 29 different sports available for schools to attend, including new additions such as Aqua-Athlon!
A full list of level 2 winners from all competitions can be found via the link below, along with press releases from the events.

NWLSSP has three fantastic coaches that head into 23 partnership schools to support the delivery of PE, breakfast, lunchtime and after school clubs. Throughout the academic year, the coaches have provided 2,923 hours of coaching with an overall of 59,645 attendances by pupils.
Spirit of the Games
It is great to see the School Games Values being embedded into schools/teams and are displaying them at both Level 2 and Level 3 competitions along with non-competitive events and festivals. This is something that we are passionate to develop further within our partnership to allow everyone to enjoy sport and physical activity.
For the second consecutive year we have been running our Spirit of the Games competition. A massive congratulations to Sir John Moore who have won this years competition by winning 5 Spirit of the Games awards throughout the year and will now receive a bag of sports equipment.
