esday 13th March saw us host one of our most attended events in regards to teams, with 30+ teams attending across two events. This event stood out in particular as one that has a great atmosphere and a great attitude demonstrated by all the participating children.
The morning event was held at Forest Way, with Belvoirdale finishing the event as the eventual winners, after initially drawing the final with Griffydam an extra end was needed to separate the two teams. Congratulations to all teams who took part there were some really close games. The spirit of the games winner for this event was Thringstone Primary School, their teams demonstrated an excellent spirit throughout the event.
The afternoon event saw more teams excited to play New Age Kurling This eventwas held at 
Ibstock Community College. Again this event had a great feel and atmosphere with the students representing their schools excellently. Congratulations to the Ellistown C team who were victorious after beating the Sir John Moore team in the final. It was great to see so many children from across North West Leicestershire excited to try a new sport and thriving!
A big thank you to Forest Way and Ibstock Community College for hosting the event and to both schools’ young leaders who excellently supported the event, without the young leaders we would be unable to accommodate so many teams. A special thank you also to Snarestone, Albert Village and Packington primary schools for lending us their New Age Kurling equipmen
