Final
At the final on Thursday 4th April. The amazing sunshine that we had over all 4 of the competitions leading up to the final gave way to heavy April showers.
At the final we had Woodstone A, Broom Leys B, Willesley A and Ashby Hill Top A for year 3 / 4 and Griffydam and Ashby Hill Top for year 5/6.
As we had 4 teams for the year 3 / 4 we ran a round robin competition were everyone played everyone.
Coming in to the last game Willesley and Woodstone were draw on points. However Willesley were able to be clinical and win the final game 4 – 0.
In the 5 / 6 final at the final whistle the game was draw 3 – 3. In these situations we go to Golden Time.
Golden Time is where teams have 2 minutes to score a goal and win the game. If at the end of golden time no goals have been scored the game would go down to penalty shoot out.
Griffydam won the game during golden time when a Penalty goal was scored for a player blocking a goal with their foot.
