On Tuesday 12th March we hosted one of our biggest SEND competition of the year with around 33 teams competing.
For the very first time New Age Kurling will have a progression to the SEND Championships everything was to play for.
The first competition was held at Forest way. We had 13 team attending from Forest Way, Broom Leys, Warren Hills, Woodstone and Oakthorpe. After some very close and well played games Warren Hills C were awarded the winners for the Coalville competition.
Oakthrope were awarded the spirit of the games for their team work, passion and respect throughout the event.
In the afternoon we zoomed over to Ibstock Community College. We had 20 teams attending from All Saints C of E, Heather, Ellistown, Sir John Moore C of E, St Denys, Griffydam, Measham C of E, Thringstone, Woodcote and New Swannington. After some excellent games including a number that finished as a draw. All Saints C of E were awarded the winners for the Ibstock Competitions.
St Denys were awarded the Spirit of the Games for their team work, passion and respect throughout the event.
This event would not have been possible without Forest Way and Ibstock Community College hosting events and providing leaders from the leadership pathway.
We would also like to thank Ellistown, Broom Leys, Forest Way, Measham C of E and Snarestone for lending the SSP New Age Kurling equipment. Without this equipment this event would not have been able to take place.

Update Friday 15th March
Today Warren Hills Hosted the final against All Saints C of E
After a very good set of 6 games Warren Hills were awarded the title of North West Leicestershire Champions with a final score of 9 – 2
Warren Hills will now attend the SEND championships on Friday 22nd March at Loughborough University to represent North West Leicestershire
