On Wednesday 16th January 5 schools with 14 teams attended the Boccia at Forest Way School.
Schools involved; Broom Leys, Holy Cross, Forest Way, Thringstone, Warren Hills
The pool stage featured 22 games across 4 courts and were excellently officiated by young leaders from Forest Way who are undertaking the Sports Leaders UK qualification.
The Semi-final line-up featured some excellent Boccia. With Warren Hills A winning pool 1, Broom Leys B winning pool 2, Warren Hills B winning pool 3 and Holy Cross A being the best runner up across all the pools
The Semi-finals finished Holy Cross A vs Warren Hills B (4-1) and Warren Hills A vs Broom Lets B (6-0).
Holy Cross A and Warren Hills A will now both progress to the final at a later date.
Spirit of the Game was awarded to Holy Cross for all their teams respect, passion and team work throughout the event.

Schools involved; Ellistown, Griffydam, New Swannington, Snarestone, Woodstone, Oakthorpe, Woodcote
The pool stage featured 24 games across 4 courts and were excellently officiated by young leaders from Ibstock Community college who are undertaking the Sports Leaders UK qualification.
The Semi-final line-up featured some excellent Boccia. With New Swannington winning pool 1, Woodstone A winning pool 2, Woodcote A winning pool 3 and Woodstone C winning pool 4.
The Semi-finals finished Woodstone A vs Woodstone C (4-1) and Woodcote A vs New Swannington B (6-0).
Woodcote A and Woodstone A will now both progress to the final at a later date.
Spirit of the Game was awarded to Ellistown for their Passion and teamwork.
Update
On Wednesday 13th Feb Woodcote primary school played host to the Boccia Final.
On the day we had Woodcote, Holy Cross and Warren Hills all in attendance.
The final saw some excellent boccia being played. With a number of games going down to the last game to be won and lost.
However with a clean sheet of 2 games won Woodcote took their first Win in a School Games event this year.
Woodcote will now progress to the SEND Championship on Friday 22nd March.
